The Kansas City Chiefs are in dire need to strengthen their offensive prowess, if they want to challenge for the Super Bowl berth. As a result of which, the team has acquired Kadarius Toney from the New York Giants for two 2023 draft picks right before the trade deadline.

Many might not have seen enough of the young wide receiver. But to bring everyone on the same page – Kadarius Toney was taken up by the Giants in the first round of the 2021 draft and is currently under contract with a fifth-year option for the 2-25 season through the 2024 season. Although he has missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury, yet there is no denying that this player has the pace and acceleration to become the X-Factor for any team he represents.

Kadarius Toney claimed that his return on the football field has been delayed as he tried to comeback weeks earlier than scheduled. In the process, he injured his left hamstring as well. On the same note, let us take a look at the college career of this youngster.

Where did Kadarius Toney go for college?

Kadarius was a three-star recruit who had receiver scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, South Carolina, South Alabama and Florida. Eventually he played his college football in Florida – for the Gators.

While representing the spoken off team, Toney showed improvement in every successive year. Some even suggest that he grew into maturity game after game after game. Now hold onto your hats as we talk about the offensive prowess of this player – Kadarius Toney led the Gators’ powerful offense with 70 receptions for 984 yards (14.1 average), scoring 10 TouchDowns. In just 11 starts, Toney was deemed as a sprinter (19 carries, 161 yards, 8.5 yards per carry, one touchdown) and returner (seven kick returns, 155 yards, 22.1 average, 11 punt returns, 139 yards, 12.6 average, one touchdown) contributed as well.
