Sports fans across the world immediately sent their wishes to the seven-time Super Bowl champion. But Brady’s retirement seems to have taken a number of sports icons by surprise as well.

Less than 24 hours after Brady announced his decision to make a comeback to the NFL, track and field legend Usain Bolt also grabbed headlines. The eight-time Olympic Gold Medalist posted a video of himself training and the caption made fans believe that he was on course to return for a major event.

Usain Bolt draws comeback inspiration from Tom Brady?

On social media, Usain Bolt, who retired from track and field in 2017, hinted that he may be eyeing a comeback to sprinting. He captioned his post. ‘Might need to unretire myself or is it too late?’ before using the #motivation. The 35-year-old showed off his blistering pace in the clip as well, which led to several fan reactions.

One wrote, “Never too late to return to something you love” while a second added, “Surely, Bolt and Brady returning to sports will make it a more interesting 2022.”

Bolt is an 11-time World Champion and is widely considered the greatest sprinter of all time. He holds the world record for the fastest 100 metres and 200 metres dash. He also has the record, along with his Jamaican teammates for the fastest 4 × 100 metres relay.

Could Bolt also make his return to track and field and provide some more stellar memories for sports fans. Only time will tell.
