Todd Bowles, the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach talked about his plans for the franchise

After Bruce Arians, had announced his decision to step away from the head coach position at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers it was announced that former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will be taking over the position.

This big decision by the franchise was most probably done after the fact that Tom Brady had returned from his retirement to play for the team in the upcoming season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are legitimate Super Bowl contenders and with the removal of Bruce Arians from the head coach position, they might very well be on their track to winning another Super Bowl.

Todd Bowles talked about his plans for the franchise and said, “We’re not changing the program, we’re trying to add on,”, which certainly meant that there will be some additions to the squad in order to win the Super Bowl.

He added, “You just have to move on to the next week, I think every week is a grind. You don’t carry the game with you from week in and week out. I feel I did that a little bit in New York.”

“I am a head coach of the entire team”- Todd Bowles

Speaking further about his plans for the team, Todd Bowles said, Coming here with the people I’ve been around and understanding what I’ve come from and how I’ve been coaching, it kind of changed the way I saw things and the way I coached. I think this will help me the second time around.”

Talking about himself being the defensive coordinator of the team previously he said, I don’t consider myself a defensive-minded coach when I become a head coach. I am a head coach of the entire team, There will be situational football, and me and Byron will talk about third-and-1s, two-minute, end of the ball game.”

It is very clear that Bowles’ main goal is to win a Super Bowl with this Bucs team led by Tom Brady and they very well could achieve this season with the NFC being weaker than usual.
