After starting the 2022-23 Season is much impressive manner, the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a brutal and heart-breaking loss to Indianapolis Colts in their Week 3 showdown. On one hand, where people expected them to extend their lead at the top of AFC West, the reality was quite the opposite.

What’s even worse? Even Patrick Mahomes got into a visible-verbal-banter with the offensive coordinator. That resulted only in the team’s downfall as the game progressed into the latter minutes. Given that one of the MVP favorites was put under extreme pressure by the Colts, Nick Wright couldn’t help but point out the flaws in the Kansas City Chiefs’ side.

Wright quoted, “This was an unacceptable loss for the Chiefs, especially with the Bills losing – this was their chance to get to the top of the conference.”

Nick Wright points out areas of concern for Kansas City Chiefs

Safe to say there was not only as offensive explosion for the Kansas City Chiefs, but also a defensive and a team explosion which killed the winning mentality of the team in Week 3 against the Colts. However, even when the offense was struggling, the Chiefs did have a chance to send the game to overtime, but those also came to an end when a demotivated Mahomes threw an interception.

Wright concluded by stating, “It’s a sh*t game that they (Kansas City Chiefs shouldn’t have lost but they did. My one concern…particularly going into this week (Week 4) – the idea of the Chiefs offense was to less explosive, but they were going to be able to run the football and Mahomes could have a ton of time because he’s got this great offensive line. However, the offensive line was terrible, Mahomes was under constant pressure.”

Fans would note that there not only a ‘fake’ field goal, but also a missed field goal and missed extra point. A total of seven points being left by the Kansas City Chiefs justifies how they ended on the losing side. Will the mockery in form continue in Week 4 as well? Remains to be seen.
