Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tight End Rob Gronkowski has been nursing a rib injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an important match coming up, against the New England Patriots on the 3rd of October.

Coming off a loss against the Los Angeles Rams, the Buccaneers will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways.

It now looks like their Tight End, Rob Gronkowski might be out for weeks after suffering a rib injury.

A couple of days ago, Buccaneers’ coach Bruce Arians provided an update on Gronk stating that he might probably miss the game.

He had not taken part in Wednesday and Thursday practice and was only found stretching during the practice session on Friday.

The latest update is that, Gronk will not be featuring in the Patriots game, since he did not travel with the team. According to sources from ESPN and Adam Schefter , Gronkowski has suffered fractured ribs and will be sidelined for a month at least.

Rob Gronkowski suffered rib injury against Los Angeles Rams

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Los Angeles Rams in Gameweek 3. The battle of the then-undefeated teams ended in a victory for the Rams. The final scores read 34-24 in favour of the Rams.

It was during this game that Gronk picked up his rib injury. While the Buccaneers and Gronk himself did not think that the injury was severe, MRI reports revealed that he had suffered a fracture.

It is worth noting that the initial X-Rays did not reveal the fractures Gronkowski suffered.
