“I’m not retired”: Serena Williams ready to repeat Tom-Brady-like move to return on tennis court

It seems like when Tom Brady decided to follow his heart and make a return onto the football field, he seemed to have open the gate for other sports personnel to do the same. Who is the latest star to unretire? Although there is nothing fixed, but the 41-year-old tennis women sensation, Serena Williams is planning to make a comeback this summer.

To bring everyone on the same, the most celebrated women’s tennis star hung up her boots after she lost in the US Open 2022. And publicly made her farewell speech. But after witnessing Tom Brady un-retire, it seems like sporting legends are thinking twice before ‘actually’ bidding adieu to their respective sport.

When is Serena Williams making her comeback? In a recent panel interview during an event in San Francisco, Venus Williams’ sister admitted straight up that she actually hasn’t retired just yet. When the host started asking about the 23-time-Grand Slam champion’s life post-retirement, Williams’ response surely made people aware about her possible return to the tennis court.

What did Serena Williams say?

“I’m not retired. The chances are very high,” Williams said while talking about her potential return as per ClutchPoints. Moreover, when asked if there’s a chance that we’ll see her back in action in the near future. “You can come to my house, I got a court. I got you.”

Tom Brady hasn’t been having the most pleasant time ever since he has un-retired. Having already seen his team being hammered in Week 7, let us hope that if Serena Williams decided to return on the tennis court as a player, she can elaborate upon her legacy with full venom.
