Dallas Cowboys are busy tempting their fans upon whether or not they will sign reigning Super Bowl Champ – Odell Beckham Jr, but for now Mike McCarthy’s team has just added another veteran Wide Receiver – TY Hilton, who hasn’t been a part of any team so far in the entirety of 2022-23 season.

Mike McCarthy who desperately wants his #1 Quarterback to bring out his ‘A-Game,’ has got another experienced weapon at his disposal in the form of TY Hilton. To those unaware, in a decade long stint with the Indianapolis Colts, TY caught 631 catches for more than 9,690 yards and 53 TouchDowns. This resulted in him having four Pro Bowl picks.

“The timing is right,” Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Monday, as per ESPN. “He’s ready to go. He’s an excellent addition, especially at this time of year.”

Can TY Hilton help Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys?

Hilton has wealth of experience which will benefit Mike McCarthy. In his 10 seasons tint with Colts, he was the #1 receiver, including a stretch in which he had at least 1,000 yards receiving in five of six seasons.

For those who are keen on knowing the numbers for TY – Dallas Cowboys guaranteed the veteran receiver $600,000 over the final four weeks of the regular season and he will count $800,000 against the cap. He can earn $50,000 for each regular-season game he is on the 46-man roster.

But will that be enough to secure Mike McCarthy’s team’s berth deep into the playoffs? Will this gamble prove to be a productive one for Jerry Jones? Remains to be seen.
