NFL is one of the most prominent sports leagues in the world. The league brings a lot of eyeballs to the sport and also a lot of money. Though some of it’s biggest players like Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott earn over $40 million per year everyone is not fortunate enough to get the same.

The minimum salary in NFL this season is higher than what an average citizen ever dreams of. With that being said let’s have a look at the numbers from this season:

What is the minimum salary at NFL in the 2021 season?

For the 2021 season the minimum salary at NFL is $660,000. Which is $38,823.52 per game. Not bad, isn’t it? Though NBA and NHL have a higher salary than NFL this is still a lot.

The salary has continued to rise even in the pandemic. In the 2020 season the minimum salary was $610,000 which has been increased by $50,000 for the 2021 season. Which seems to be a lot considering the financial hit that NFL might have taken last year because of the pandemic.

There are as much as 41 players in the NFL currently who earn the minimum salary of $660,000. The $660,00 salary does not include the additional bonuses or endorsement money a player can get.

In the NFL 2021 season the average salary is roughly $1-1.5 million per year. Most of the NFL players are on the contracts that pay them the minimum salary however they earn additional bonuses as well.

The current highest paid athlete in NFL is the Kansas City Chief’s Patrick Mahomes who earns a guaranteed $45 million in a year.
