“I accomplished almost all of them”- Micah Parsons reflects back on his goals for his rookie season

Micah Parsons shares the experience of his first season in the NFL.

Micah Parsons had one of the best seasons as a rookie defender in the history of the NFL. He helped the Dallas Cowboys to qualify for the playoffs.

Parsons solidified the Cowboys’ defense this season as they were a bad defensive unit prior to his arrival. He won the defensive rookie of the year award and now is well known around the league for his defensive ability.

During his rookie year in the league, Parsons finished with 84 tackles, 13 sacks, 30 quarterback hits, 20 tackles and was one of the best defenders in the league.

He is already planning to get better for the next season and we can see a very bright future for him in the league already.

He shared the journey of his rookie season in an interview with CBS sports.

Micah Parsons shared his experience in the NFL and talked about his ambitions and about his team Dallas Cowboys as he was asked multiple questions about it.

Micah was asked about how his rookie season went to which he responded with, “I wanted to complete the year healthy and help the Cowboys to the playoffs. I wanted to help take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and become a leader on the team. I accomplished almost all of them.”

He was asked about his relationship with Cowboys DC Dan Quinn and he said, “He let me know he needed me to be his guy and I didn’t want to let him down.”

He was asked about how can the Dallas Cowboys go for an even better season next season to which he said, “We have to clean up the details and we have to be way more disciplined. We can’t beat ourselves. That was our first year together in that system and there’s a lot of time for us to grow and get better from it.” 

He was asked about the toughest quarterbacks that he faced in his rookie season and he said, “Either Kyler Murray or Patrick Mahomes. Their mobility stood out for sure.”

It is clear that Micah Parsons has a very bright future ahead of him and hopefully, he can lead the Dallas Cowboys to the promised land which they have been desiring for a long time now.
