Is Dan Quinn leaving the Dallas Cowboys? 2

In his second year with the Dallas Cowboys, Dan Quinn helped build another strong defensive unit. The news that he won’t be leaving in 2023 should come as a relief to Cowboys supporters.

According to a report that was published on Thursday by NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero, Quinn has informed other teams that are interested in him that he will be staying in Dallas as the head coach of the Cowboys for the 2019 season. In recent weeks, Quinn has interviewed for head-coaching openings in Arizona, Denver, and Indianapolis.

However, it is currently unknown what will happen with Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore in the future. Moore had an interview for the head coaching position with the Panthers, which ultimately went to Frank Reich. During his news conference on Thursday, McCarthy was asked if Moore would return to the Panthers if he was unable to find employment elsewhere.

The Cowboys have made tremendous strides on defense under Quinn’s leadership, moving up from a rating of 28th in scoring defense in 2020 to top-seven finishes in each of the last two seasons. Trevon Diggs made a name for himself as an interception master in 2021, while Micah Parsons rapidly developed into an All-Pro, game-wrecking defender capable of playing on both the line of scrimmage and at the second level after Quinn converted the Cowboys into an opportunistic bunch.
