Fans mourn as Peruvian actor Diego Bertie dies. Here is how it happened

Peruvian actor Diego Bertie died tragically at the age of 54, after falling from the 14th floor of a building. Bertie was immediately taken to the Casimiro Ulloa hospital, where he died.

Mario Casaretto who was the general commander of the Cuerpo General de Bomberos confirmed that the accident happened at 4 am. He died from the 14th flooring of a creating Miraflores. The actor was known for his work in television, and film and had a great fan following.

The Peruvian Ministry of Culture shared the news on Twitter,

“We deeply regret the death of the actor and singer Diego Bertie, recognised for his work in film, television and theatre. From the Ministry of Culture, we express our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.”

The official Twitter page for the Gran Teatro Nacional in Peru also posted about the actor:

“We deeply regret the death of the renowned musician and theater, film and television actor, Diego Bertie Brignardello From the Grand National Theater we express our condolences to your loved ones.”

Who was Diego Bertie?

Diego Bertie was born on 2nd November 1967. He was a musician and an actor. He is known for his role in television such as Vale Todo (2002), La Ex (2006), and De Vuelta Al Barrio (2017).

The actor also did some theatre work as well starring as Leonardo in Bodas de Sangre, and as Segismuno in La Vida es Sueño.

He was also a very good singer in the mid-eighties and had a pop band called Imagenes. Bertie’s film credits include Sin Compasión (1994), Ultra Warrior (1990), Los Andes No Creen en Dios (2005), and Esto huele mal.
