Call of Duty publisher Activision joined hands with Arcane in Wonders for launching the Call of Duty board game. Yes, you heard that right now the FPS Shooter video game will be soon available for playing offline with your friends. There is not much information as of now but here is everything to know about Call of Duty the board game so far.
Call of Duty the board game
The COD board game does not have any update as of now but it is supposed to be released worldwide by the holiday of 2024. You can sign up on the official website to be updated about the game as soon as the Kickstarter launches in the fall of 2023 or in 2024.
As of now, the game developers have not released any information about how the game would look like but there are some key facts that you can be aware of.
Call of Duty the board game is supposedly said to recreate the feeling of the Shooter game with movement combat and line-of-sight mechanics. It will have miniatures of operators and woukd have fixtures of the Modern Warfare 2019 era including the iconic maps and weapons. Initially, it will be a two-player game but players will be allowed to combine different sets of the body game for 4 player matches.
It would be interesting to see how the infamous video game of the shooting genre would be brought in a physical form of a board game. The gameplay of the board game is Un clear as of now but the developers capture the perspective of a First-person Shooter and later players plan their moves in secret and then resolve them at the same time. They want to bring alive what we have been witness scene in the graphics of the Call of Duty franchise all these years.
Just like other Call of Duty titles COD the board game this wont be just a single entry to the series but it will start as an initial core set. There will be additional production features like new operators’ weapons maps and game modes in the future.
