The New Orleans Pelicans’ seven-game winning run came to an end on Tuesday night when they played the Utah Jazz and suffered a defeat by the score of 121-100. It was the ninth game in a row that Ingram was unable to play because of a bruise to his left big toe.

According to statements made by executives with the Pelicans on Tuesday, forward Brandon Ingram will continue to remain sidelined for at least another week. After a week, Ingram will have another evaluation, which means he will be sidelined for at least four more contests. During the course of his rehabilitation that took place over the weekend, Ingram experienced a little setback.

Ingram has played in 15 games so far this season and has amassed a total of 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists on average. On average, he takes four three-point shots per game and is hitting 46.7% from long range, which is a career-high for him.

Zion Williamson has stepped up in the absence of Ingram as he is averaging 25.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists this season. He is an MVP candidate this season and has looked phenomenal after missing the last season due to injuries.
