The Golden State Warriors prevailed over the Boston Celtics again, as evidenced by their 123-107 victory against the Celtics in a way that was resounding and decisive. The Warriors haven’t been at their best throughout the season, but they reserved their finest performance for this match, and it paid off with a significant victory for them.

After the meltdown he had in the NBA Finals of the previous season, tremendous expectations were placed on Jayson Tatum, but the contender for MVP was unable to live up to those expectations. Jayson Tatum finished the game with just 18 points despite shooting a dismal 6 of 21 from the field and 2 of 9 from beyond the arc. Although Jaylen Brown had a strong performance, his group was unable to prevail over the defending champs despite his best efforts.

After the loss, Tatum said, “Tonight was more meaningful to you [media] guys than it was to us. It was one game … It’s not going to dictate our season.” While Jaylen Brown said, “We definitely played a little tense tonight … Last year is over. We played like we had this one circled instead of playing our game.”

The Boston Celtics have a great chance of redeeming themselves after this loss to the Warriors as they will face the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers on back-to-back nights on Monday and Tuesday. The Clippers are championship contenders while the Lakers have also shown that they can beat any team on any given day.

Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown would love to put on a show in Los Angeles as they would like to emulate the form that they have shown throughout the course of this season.
