LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the best players in the game right now, and many would argue that he is also one of the greatest to ever step on a court. Naturally, LeBron enjoys a lot of influence as one face of the sport worldwide right now – particularly at the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA.
Hence, several fans have asked him for a favour. The NBA community on Twitter have asked LeBron for a favour, and it is to help get a former superstar back into the league. It so turns out that the superstar in question is none other than Carmelo Anthony, the former NBA veteran superstar who was LeBron’s teammate as recently back as last season – and who was released by the Los Angeles Lakers this very summer.
‘Melo’ has been a mainstay of the league for nearly two decades where he has turned out for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though Anthony never won a Championship ring, he was still one of the biggest stars in the league – with 10 NBA All-Star selections.
But courtesy of his numbers as well as his game time dropping over the last couple of seasons, the Lakers found it logical to part ways with Anthony this season. However, despite being a free agent, Anthony has not stopped putting in the hours at the gym – and he still looks in good touch.
Anthony posted a video on his Twitter recently that showed the former NBA man still in good form even at 38 years of age, and his former teammate LeBron quote tweeted it – on which the fans urged LeBron to help get Carmelo back in the NBA.

While one fan replied to the video with “Bring him back Bron”, replies such as “Tell the Lakers to resign him” and “I wanna see Melo win a ring man. How ever he gets it ill be happy for him.”
It will certainly be a sight to see Melo win a ring, and bringing the veteran back for a part time role with the Lakers will certainly help their chances of reclaiming the Championship.
