Richard Jefferson has come up with a brave claim that Bronny James is good enough to be the second best shooter on the Lakers roster after his latest performance.

Bronny James continues to catch the eyeballs of the basketball community in America. The eldest son of basketball superstar and one of the all-time greats of the game LeBron James is now 18, and is considered one of the top talents in his age division – and he proved his mettle and promise yet again with his latest performance for the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers.

The 18-year point guard who stands at 6 feet and 3 inches and will be eligible to take part in the NBA Draft in 2024, was in action for his high school team the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers – and starred as he racked up 31 points in a performance that won the game for the Trailblazers James had an 84% shooting percentage and nailed down six of the seven three-pointers he made.

The performance drew a lot of praise from all over the NBA community – but none more so than the praise it for from former NBA star turned analyst Richard Jefferson.

What did Richard Jefferson have to say about Bronny James?

Jefferson called Bronny good enough to be the second best shooter on the Lakers team.

Speaking about his thoughts on Bronny’s latest performance, Jefferson particularly focused on James’ incredible shooting and said that he would be the second best shooter on the Lakers team – behind who can be assumed to be someone Bronny learnt his craft from.

The former NBA champion took to his Twitter as he wrote “He’d be the 2nd best shooter on the current Laker roster…. RIGHT NOW 🤦🏽‍♂️” – alluding to the lack of consistent shooters in the current Lakers roster. Russell Westbrook’s year in Los Angeles was not as he looked forward to as the Lakers failed to qualify for the Play-Offs. Although he might not be as physically dominant as his father, he looks like a promising shooting guard in his draft class.

As far as the Lakers are concerned, they will hope that their new-look roster along with a coaching change can do the trick for them in the upcoming season.
