Steph Curry is widely regarded as one of the best players in the game right now if not the outright best, and some would even call him one of the greatest players to ever step on a basketball court.

The Golden State Warriors superstar is a larger-than-life figure in the game in his own right. However, even though the 34-year-old boasts of a CV that comprises four NBA Championships, two MVP awards including a regular season MVP and a Finals’ MVP, he is still a normal person and a family man behind the scenes.

Curry spoke up about the human side of his larger-than-life career as he sat down with Rolling Stone magazine to discuss his life.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Curry spoke about his groundedness despite being a literal superhero to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world – along with politics, Christianity and his career in the NBA.

One thing that highlighted Curry’s humanity despite his superhero status is his decision to visit a therapist to keep in touch with mental health.

What did Curry have to say about visiting a therapist?

The four-time champion revealed he visits a therapist – not as much as he should, but he is still an active recipient of therapy.

Not as much as I should, but I’m active,” Curry told Rolling Stone. “I realize there are certain things that are OK to get off your chest sometimes.

He also talked about marriage and parenthood, millions in the bank and millions up in his comments — “things that are so complicated, but there’s a simple approach to how you manage it. And it’s not that you’re trying to change the situation; you’re trying to change yourself to handle the situation.”

The comments added a nice human touch to the life of one of the biggest athletes in the world right now, and made Curry even more relatable than he already was.
