Los Angeles Lakers’ loss against the Phoenix Suns eliminated them from playoff contention

The Los Angeles Lakers have been officially eliminated from the race to the playoffs following their loss to the Phoenix Suns by 110-121. It was a devastating season for the Lakers as the expectations were very high from them before the start of the season, but this season has turned out to be one of the worst for the franchise.

The Lakers needed to win all their remaining games following the victory of the San Antonio Spurs over the Denver Nuggets, which made their task a lot harder. Suns are the best team in the league, and they showed that against the Lakers when they took over the game and eliminated the Lakers for the second time in two seasons.

LeBron James was once again unavailable to play as he still has not recovered from the ankle injury, which has destroyed the hopes of the Lakers this season. Injuries to star players like Anthony Davis and LeBron James were the main reason for this disappointing season for the Lakers, as the team didn’t get a chance to play together and this whole experiment turned out to be a massive failure for them.

With this season being over for the Lakers, they will now be looking forward to bouncing back stronger next season, and they will have to make many changes around the team to get back into contention for the championship.

With Russell Westbrook looking sure to leave the Lakers, there could be many other moves in store for the Lakers as apart from Anthony Davis, Lebron James, Kendrick Nunn, and Malik Monk, nobody else looks certain to stay in LA.

With reports emerging about the Lakers potentially parting ways with Frank Vogel at the end of the season, there could be a massive rehaul in the coaching staff as well as a new start is upon us in Los Angeles.
