LeBron James has given a hilarious take on wanting to buy the Las Vegas NBA franchise.

LeBron James’ intentions of buying an NBA franchise have been no secret for quite a while now. While the rumours were doing the rounds for a long time courtesy of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar making it known for many times about his intentions of buying an NBA franchise, the rumours were confirmed following a preseason outing in Vegas.

The Los Angeles Lakers were in action against the Phoenix Suns in the preseason game at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and it was after the match that LeBron addressed the press and effectively confirmed his intentions. The 37-year-old confirmed that he is looking to buy the franchise that is going to come out of Las Vegas as a part of the imminent NBA extension draft.

James took the opportunity to directly address the NBA commissioner Adam Silver, and informed him and the world about his intentions of buying the Las Vegas franchise. “I know Adam (Silver) is in Abu Dhabi right now. But he probably sees every single interview and transcript that comes through from NBA players. So, I want the team here, Adam. Thank you.”

Plenty of reactions from the online NBA community met the comments and naturally, it gave rise to a fair share of memes as well – out of which, a particular one caught LeBron’s eyes.

The meme in discussion featured a clip from the 1995 film Casino, featuring Robert Di Niro as the primary protagonist Samuel “Ace” Rothstein. In the clip, Di Niro gets a call in his office and immediately decides to put his trousers on – an already hilarious clip that was made even funnier by the caption “LeBron when Adam Silver pulls up to visit his NBA team in Vegas.”

Naturally, LeBron replied to the tweet by saying “🤷🏾‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Ace Rothstein vibes” – a deft nod to the fact that Rothstein, a Vegas Mafia associate also in charge of a Sin City business.
