Kyrie Irving opened up on his future with the Brooklyn Nets
Kyrie Irving signed with the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 along with Kevin Durant as the duo sought to start a new chapter in their career and built a legacy here in Brooklyn.
Things haven’t gone quite as planned for the duo due to multiple injuries to both of them and also other issues have contributed but there’s no denying the fact that the Brooklyn Nets are always in the mix to be the favorites to win the NBA Championship.
Kevin Durant has already signed a new contract with the Nets at the start of the current season which will keep him in Brooklyn for the foreseeable future while Kyrie Irving is still left to sign that contract extension to stay here in Brooklyn with his best friend.
Talking about his future with the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie said, “To be honest, I signed up for this for the long run, I love this year. I’m grateful. It has not been the prototypical year. But when I look at my teammates and I look at what we have as an organization. I’m looking for the long run and what we can do, legacy talk.”
He added, “For me, it has always been about being comfortable and loving where I’m at. I love it here, Once that summertime hits, I know we’ll have some conversations but there’s no way I could leave my man 7 anywhere.”

Kyrie Irving further talked about his plans with the team and said, “For me, our team sentiment is we want to build a legacy here and have something sustainable, Not just put this together real quick and then see what happens. But we’re going to do our best.”
The Brooklyn Nets are still the favorites to win the title this year but they might have to go through the play-in tournament to reach the playoffs, Once they reach the playoffs, anything can happen because the duo of Kyrie and KD with Ben Simmons about to join the team will be as scary as you can get and can potentially land you the Championship.
