Apart from his incredible shooting ability and wingspan for which he is known on the court, Durant is also known for his tendency to reply to his critics on social media. Durant never shies away from an awkward interaction or two, and he gave yet another instance of his infamous habit when he addressed a fan very nonchalantly following an interaction with a journalist.

It was after the Nets parted ways with Steve Nash after a number of bad results that Durant was again subjected to criticism from the NBA community. So when American football player Gerald McCoy tweeted, “Man I feel bad for my guy @KDTrey5 they have to get him some help man”, Durant said he does not mind – he is lucky enough to play basketball for a living.

Durant replied to McCoy’s tweet by saying, “Love u my brother but please stop. I’m playing ball for a living, that’s really enough for me”. However, it was when a fan wrote, “He’s speaking as a fan. Stop letting this stuff even get to you. U don’t even have to address it. Just do you bro.” as a reply to Durant’s tweet, Durant replied with a nonchalant reply that went viral in no time.

Durant will certainly hope to answer his detractors on a basketball court when he takes the floor for the Brooklyn Nets in their next game against the Washington Wizards on Friday.
