Dewayne Dedmon could not control his feelings as he got into an ugly spat on the Miami Heat bench with coach Erik Spoelstra, eventually being ejected. While Jimmy Butler did not let that event overshadow the highlights of the game. A perfect night at the free throw line for him saw the Heat register an uncanny win.

However, for the mentioned event that took place in the second quarter, ejected backup center Dewayne Dedmon was suspended by the team themselves for the next game as per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

He wrote in his tweet, “The Heat have, in consultation with the NBA, suspended Dewayne Dedmon for one game without pay for conduct detrimental to the team for actions that took place in the bench area of last night’s game vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder.”

This is a firm step taken by the Miami Heat as they are already going to be extensively shorthanded in their next game against the unpredictable Milwaukee Bucks. Tyler Herro and Kyle Lowry are the two head honchos of the Miami Heat’s backcourt who are out due to injuries.

On the other hand, marquee scorers – Duncan Robinson, Nikola Jovic, Omer Yurtseven, and Caleb Martin, who have changed the game for Erik Spoelstra in the past whilst coming off the bench would also not be able to suit up.
