Nate Robinson recently revealed that he is receiving treatment for Renal Kidney Failure and has been ill for four years

Former NBA Guard Nate Robinson recently announced that he is battling Renal Kidney Failure. Robinson shared that he’d been suffering from kidney failure for four years and had been dealing with it privately. Nate decided to open up about his condition in order to be a voice for other people.

Robinson wants to be a voice for people who are having trouble opening up about this illness. Nate Robinson ended his statement by saying he was grateful for the support he’d received during his treatment. In addition to this, he hoped his announcement would help others with the same condition.

Nate Robinson played in the NBA for 11 years and was most well-known for winning slam dunk competitions. Robinson was the first player to win 3 NBA Slam Dunk Competitions. He did this despite only being 5’9″ tall. In addition to this, Robinson is also known for blocking 7’6″ Yao Ming’s shot.

Why did Nate Robinson stop getting NBA contracts?

Nate Robinson stopped getting NBA contracts because of ageing and the loss of his athleticism. As Robinson got older, he got injured more and this resulted in him losing his burst of athleticism. This made NBA teams hesitant to sign him.

NBA teams did not want an undersized, injury-prone guard who was bad at defense, rebounding and playmaking. He had a relatively long career for a short guard in the NBA.
