“He ain’t wrong”, “I believe him” – Fans come out in support of LeBron James saying Boston supporters are racist

When questioned about the city he despises playing in, LeBron James, the star of the Lakers, was straightforward.

Four-time NBA champion LeBron James disparaged Boston on his talk show The Shop. The Lakers star was asked which team he ‘hated’ and it didn’t take him long to respond.

“They are racist as f***, that is the reason. Anything they say is OK. Seriously, f***, it’s my wife; she’s lived with them all her life. I’m fine with it. I hear it, and if I hear someone around, I quickly examine them. Whatever the f***, I continue with the game. Whatever they want to say, they’re going to say it. NBA fans react to LeBron calling out Celtics fans

Several NBA fans on social media came out in support of Lebron James. In fact, most of them even agreed that the Celtics fans have been racist in the past as well.

On Twitter, one wrote,  ‘’Basketball and baseball players have said hate playing in Boston due to fans screaming racial slurs. Interesting Not sure about hockey or football.’’ while another added, “It’s  LeBron. John Henry will bow, kiss the ring, and apologize to Boston’’. A third commented, “‘Lest we forget, LeBron James reported that a gate on his LA house was painted with racist graffiti. He was out of town at the time.”

Although most of the Twitterati were in support of LeBron, some even took the opportunity to troll the NBA legend. One wrote, “Why does LeBron think only Boston fans are racist. Fans everywhere are racist. He may have just met some people in the city that are racist, but it’s not fair to call out one city.” while another said, “LeBron is so

 

Although this issue has gained a lot of attention online, it is a serious one because of the numerous fan-related situations that have occurred in the past. This may serve as a lesson for fans on how to treat athletes.
