Recently, Russell Westbrook parted ways with his agent after being together for 11 years. They had been working together prior to Rus entering the NBA, and had stayed with each other over the course of his career.
However, Rus thought it was the right time to part ways with his agent, as he is now at a different stage in his career. He isn’t the same Westbrook of earlier years, and with age, his game has regressed like other players. There is talk about a possible exit for him from the Lakers, as Kyrie Irving is touted to land in LA.

Russell Westbrook is close to an exit from the Lakers
It’s very likely that Russell Westbrook will not be on the Los Angeles Lakers team at the start of next season. With Kyrie Irving rumored to be definitely joining the Lakers, Westbrook’s exit looms large.
It is possible that the team Westbrook ends up on after getting traded, will buy him out, and then Westbrook can join a team of his choice as a free agent.
