Deandre Ayton calls out Phoenix Suns after suffering from a humiliating loss against New York Knicks

Phoenix Suns started the season in red-form fashion but their fire has quickly fazed out as they have lost six of their previous games. Most recent of which came against the New York Knicks, resulting in Deandre Ayton losing his cool on his unit. Some might even pick up more controversy as Ayton lashed out at his team after their 102-83 loss.

Suns have been an offensive force to reckon with Devin Booker leading their unit. Now that he has been sidelined, this team has struggled big time. In their most recent loss against the New York Knicks, Deandre Ayton scored 12 points, led the scoring charts. This resulted in the marquee center calling out his teammates, just so that they can help him more.

To be precise, Ayton urged his teammates to get their act together if they want to register wins against their name. On one hand, where they were amongst the top teams in the Western Conference, Booker’s absence has changed the standings in an instant.

“We said what we needed to say w/o a team meeting. No extra gathering. We said it right here and with the coaches in it. Next game everybody knows what the task is and everybody should know their damn assignment and know their damn role.” Deandre Ayton after Phoenix Suns loss at New York Knicks.”

Given that Booker was their offensive identity, Ayton perhaps wants his team to pull up their socks before things go haywire. That being said, it remains to be seen whether Deandre Ayton’s words bring a chance or demoralize the unit even more.
