Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden is set to miss out on a month’s action after suffering injury in the tendon of his right foot. Right after Harden had a strong start to the season following a couple of injury riddled campaigns, he has been hit with yet another setback once again this season.
Harden injured himself in the Sixers’ 121-111 loss to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, and despite going back to the locker room in the second half of the game – he did come into the floor to finish the game for the Sixers. Harden finished the game with 24 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds – his numbers indicating the kind of form he started the season in.
After his last two seasons in the NBA were riddled by a number of recurring injuries and issues with his weight, Harden worked all through the off season to get in what he called “the best shape of his career.” It was seemingly working for Harden as well, as he began the season in form averaging 22 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds per game – and looked like his former self.

The Sixers have gotten off to an underwhelming 4-5 start to the season, and things will be even tougher for them moving forward without Harden for the foreseeable future.
