The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 124-121 thanks to Kevin Durant’s stellar performance. It was their sixth consecutive victory, and they have now won 10 of their previous 11 games, with the Boston Celtics being the only team to defeat them in that span of 11 games.

The third quarter was when Durant completely grabbed control of the game, as shown by the fact that he scored 26 points in just that period alone. He finished the game with 43 points, and he had assistance from Kyrie Irving, who scored 38 points. KD was effective once again, shooting 14 of 22 from the field throughout the course of the game.

Speaking after the game, Kyrie Irving said, “I definitely don’t take it for granted, We’ve got to enjoy the time while he’s here, not just as a teammate, but the whole entire world watching. He’s impacted the world of sport, completely, but when he’s doing performances like this on a consistent basis, you can’t take it for granted.”

He was also impressed by how the team is playing and said, “It’s one thing if one person on the team is scoring 40 every night, 35 every night, But when we’re dishing the ball the way we are, when we’re playing defense the way we are, then it makes his performance even more spectacular, as it should, because we’re winning.”

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have turned around the Nets franchise for good

This is a fantastic turnaround by the franchise, considering all that occurred with the team throughout the summer, including the fact that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were very close to leaving the team.

Following their victory over the Detroit Pistons, the Brooklyn Nets improved their record to 19-12 and once again had the appearance of a team that may win the title. The fact that new head coach Jacques Vaughn has both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant enjoying their time on the court is a wonderful sight for all of the Nets supporters located all around the world.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently in the fourth-seed position in the Eastern Conference. Following the dismissal of Steve Nash, they have made significant strides toward improvement, and both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been fully invested in the team’s prospects for victory.

Ben Simmons is also getting more comfortable in his role, and it is clear that the Nets will benefit greatly from having him moving ahead. It is possible that this could be the final season that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant play together, but with the way that both of them are currently doing, it will be difficult for the front office to let Irving leave in free agency.

The Nets are a legitimate threat to win the championship this year, and if they keep playing the way they have been playing, they have the ability to beat any team on any given night. This season, they are a legitimate contender for the title.
