Myles Powell Career
High School
Powell went to Medford Tech, Trenton Catholic, and South Kent School for high school, where he played varsity football all four years.
College
He was named to the Big East All-Academic team as a sophomore at Seton Hall University, New Jersey. In addition, he was named the conference’s Most Improved Player.
Powell finished second in the Big East Conference in scoring in 2018-19, averaging 23.1 points per game. He had eight games with 30 points or more, including a season-high 40 points against Grand Canyon and 31 points against Providence (1/30/2019).
Before his senior year, Powell was named a preseason first-team All-American by the Associated Press (AP) and the Big East Player of the Year. Powell suffered a serious ankle injury against Stony Brook in his second game of the season.
Powell was named Jerry West Award and Big East Player of the Year at the end of his senior year. He also made school history by becoming the first player in school history to win the Haggerty Award twice and the first Pirates first-team All-American since 1953.
Professional Career
On November 29, 2020, Powell joined the New York Knicks after going undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft. He contributed 2 points and 1 assist in 6 minutes of preseason play for the Knicks. He was released on December 19 and signed with the Westchester Knicks, the NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, on January 21, 2021.

On December 19, 2021, Powell agreed to a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, the team from which he hails. Powell, who grew up supporting Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers, remembers crying for the first 45 minutes of the day he learned he would join the Sixers.
