Eagle FC owner, Khabib Nurmagomedov is delighted to have a legend like Diego Sanchez in his promotion

Eagle FC concluded its second event on American soil- headlined by Octagon legend, Diego Sanchez. Sanchez, who has been a lifetime warrior of the fight game, competed against a young Kevin Lee in a super lightweight bout.

Although the ‘Nightmare’ lost the fight by unanimous decision, he still managed to stand toe-to-toe with a young and hungry opponent in Kevin Lee. Diego Sanchez, who’s 40 now has fought the who’s who of the MMA world, and built a reputation for himself as ‘real fighter’.

UFC lightweight legend and owner of Eagle FC, Khabib shared a tweet, hailing Sanchez as a legend, and said that it’s an absolute delight to have him in the roaster. He tweeted,

I’m very impressed with 40 yo Diego Sanchez, never give up. Thank you legend for joining @EagleFightClub this is honor for us!!! ‘

Kevin Lee emerged victorious in his Eagle FC debut alongside octagon legend Diego Sanchez, in the super lightweight main event. Lee had to go through some initial adversity, after one of his leg kicks hurt him when it landed awkwardly. Sanchez approached the fight pretty boxing heavy, but Lee managed to control the rest of the fight with his wrestling.

Sanchez managed to attack the affected leg of Lee quite efficiently, which compromised it altogether. Speaking about the nature of the injury he said, “Probably blew out my ACL or something major, every time I try to push off it, I’m slipping and sliding so I’m gonna go straight to the hospital,”
