A new Marvel Game called Midnight Suns featuring characters like Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel and here are all the details regarding the release date, characters and more
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an upcoming tactical role-playing game developed by Firaxis Games. They have collaborated with Marvel games and will feature characters from comic books like Midnight Sons, Avengers, X-Men and Runaways. The game will explore the darker heroes of the Marvel universe.
Storyline
Midnight Suns will be based on the comic book series Rise of the Midnight Sons. It was released in the 1990s. In the comic book storyline, the Avengers collaborated with other Marvel Comic book heroes like Ghost Rider to stop Lilith, the Mother of All Demons. The game will not be an exact retelling of the story but will feature some notable events and characters.
Characters
The player will take the role of a hero called ‘The Hunter’. The Hunter is the only child of Lilith, the main antagonist of the game. The new hero will be completely customizable with 40 different abilities. This new hero was specifically created for the Midnight Suns game. There will be a total of 13 different playable characters including the Hunter. The playable roster includes Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Blade, Ghost Rider, Magik and Nico Minoru.
Gameplay
The combat system for Midnight Suns will be similar to Firaxis Games’ XCOM series. Midnight Suns will have a turn-based combat system to fight the enemies. Between the combat missions, players can also manage their base. This will be their base of operations which can be upgraded to add more features. It will be called ‘The Abbey’ and the players can also walk around in third-person view to explore the base. The game will have traditional role-playing features like interacting with other heroes.
Midnight Suns platform
Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on all consoles and PC. There has been no news regarding the game’s release on android and ios devices. Fans can play the game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Windows PC. Players will be able to buy the PC version of the game on Steam and the Epic Games store.
Release Date
Marvel’s Midnight Suns was first announced at the Gamescom Event on August 25. The game is scheduled to release in March 2022. This is the second Marvel game announced this year with the first being Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game.
Firaxis Games has also announced that they will release more gameplay footage on September 1. Fans are extremely excited about this new Marvel game releasing next year.
