Players take on the role of a Summoner in this game, who is given the task by the Collector of assembling a team of Marvel heroes and villains and engaging them in battles. As a new player, you will start with access to two 1-star characters, and by progressing in the game you can unlock additional characters with higher star levels, that range from 2 to 6. All the 207 playable characters from Marvel Comics are customizable, and each of them has unique classes, movements, traits, abilities, and special moves, though some animations may be shared among characters.
In the game, characters can be leveled up by using ISO-8 and Gold and ranked up with Catalysts, which can all be obtained by participating in Story Quests, special events, and arenas. Using class-specific ISO-8 will give heroes of the specific class a bonus. Completing quests will provide players with XP (experience points) and also unlock the ability to add more heroes to the player’s questing team, with a maximum of five heroes.
In addition to participating in a global chat feature, players can also join alliances. Alliances allow for communication among its members and provide the opportunity to work together in alliance quests and wars, earning glory for ranking up materials and shards to form crystals.
