Maurice Rodney “Mardy” Collins was the 2006, Round 1, 29th overall draft pick by the New York Knicks. Collins is six-foot and six-inches and plays in the position of Shooting guard / Small forward.
Collins played college basketball for Temple University from 2002 to 2006. Notably, in the 2005-06 college basketball season, Collins averaged 16.9 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 4.0 assists per game. He also had 89 steals in the same 2005-06 season.
In the 2006 NBA Draft, Collins was the 29th overall draft pick by the New York Knicks. In his NBA rookie year, that is the 2006-07 season, Collins played 52 games, averaging 4.5 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game.
However, on November 21, 2008, Collins was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. In the 2008-09 season, Collins played 39 games for the LA Clippers, averaging 5.9 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 2.6 assists per game in 20.9 minutes per game.
Then on December 28, 2011, Collins joined the Los Angeles D-Fenders. LA D-Fenders is an NBA G-League team.
