Why signing Omer Beyaz would be a good future investment for Manchester United

According to The Sun, Manchester United are interested in Fenerbahce starlet Omer Beyaz. The 16-year-old has been raising a few eyebrows with his impressive performances for the Turkish outfit’s academy, thereby attracting interests from some of Europe’s elite clubs.

Premier League side Manchester United joins a host of clubs such as Manchester City and Juventus, who are also keeping close tabs on the teenage midfielder.

The attacking midfielder’s contract at Fenerbahce is set to expire in June 2021, and the Turkish side are hoping that they don’t lose another emerging talent.

They had earlier lost Merih Demiral to Portuguese side AC Alcanenense back in 2016, and now the defender plies his trade with Serie A giants Juventus. However, Beyaz is yet to make an appearance for the senior side despite excelling for the team’s youth outfit.

United’s interest in the young talent does not come as a surprise considering manager Solskjaer’s intention of building a youthful Manchester United side. The Norwegian’s decision to rope in young talents was clearly evident when he signed players such as Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Bruno Fernandes, who are all under 25 years of age.

The English side’s intent to build a successful side for the future is thus out in the open with their recent interest in Beyaz. Meanwhile, Beyaz, who currently plays for Fenerbahce’s under-19 side, has already proved his potential as a talented attacking midfielder.

Despite being so young, he has appeared in 14 of their 25 youth league matches and has scored two goals, inviting interest from some of the top clubs in Europe. Also, having made his debut for Turkey under-17 side last August, the teenager has gone on to score five goals from ten appearances.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer’s belief in young talents has seen the likes of teenagers such as Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams making rapid strides at United by getting more first-team action.

Thus, United could prove to be a good destination for young Beyaz, who still has ample time on his part. Moreover, until Fernandes’ arrival, United had a dearth of quality creators in their ranks.

Also, in Beyaz, United have a potential long-term investment given the likes of Mata and Pereira haven’t impressed.

At 16, Beyaz has already raised a few eyebrows with the talent that he possesses. Securing the Turkish lad now could thus prove to be a good future investment for United.

Moreover, Solskjaer’s vision to build a team in the long run based on young talents could, in turn, be a good opportunity for the Turkish youngster to excel. Thus, it would do a world of good if United can secure the youngsters’ signature sooner than later.
