The latest chapter in the Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena rivalry will be scripted, possibly in conclusion, when the pair clash in the main event of UFC 277. UFC 277 is set to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on July 30. Julianna Pena who beat Amanda Nunes by submission in one of the greatest upsets in UFC history has openly said that Nunes deserves a rematch and she will be up for the challenge. Luis Alejandre is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner. He started training at the age of 19, and immediately developed a passion for the art. He has trained in Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, Mexico, and throughout the United States. He received his black belt in November 2016, and his first degree in November 2019 from Professor Eddie and Adem Redzovic.
Prof. Luis has shared his knowledge of BJJ as a head defensive tactics instructor for various police agencies, the 100 Club, and the United States Army.
Prof. Luis has taken his experience and passion throughout his years of training BJJ and implemented them into his own academy, establishing a safe and enjoyable culture at Stronghold Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
His lineages date back to the legend Carlos Gracier Sr.- one of the few 10th degree jiu-jitsu red belts in the world.
The pair have a daughter together, and has taken up her father’s path of learning the martial art form.
Isabella Alejandre, has been raised on the mats since she was just a few months old, and started her Jiu-Jitsu journey at two years old, after she told her father that she wanted to wear a Gi [jiu-jitsu gear] too. Her journey started with private lessons as playtime with her father to participating in group kids classes, and recently received her second stripe on her white belt after about two years of training.
She was born with Jiu-Jitsu in her blood and continues to carry the passion for the art from both of her parents, and continues to tell her father, “Daddy, I want to get my blackbelt when I grow up!”

Julianna Pena’s daughter Isabellea stole the show at UFC 277 ceremonial weigh-ins when she accompanied her mother on stage. She even put her fists up in a fight stance, showing support to her mom.

The youngest of four siblings, Julianna was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. Julianna graduated in 2007 from Mt. Spokane High School. She then attended Spokane Community College. In order to lose weight and channel aggression in her early adulthood, she enrolled in a cardio kickboxing class and subsequently transitioned to mixed martial arts.
Peña was one of the fighters selected to be on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate in August, 2013. Peña faced Jessica Rakoczy in the finals on November 30, 2013, at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. She won the bout via TKO in the final seconds of the first round and became TUF 18 women’s bantamweight champion.
Her participation in the Ultimate Fighter series alongside Amanda Nunes would’ve been a great way of giving back to the platform that set her up to this stage.
