Predicted Liverpool XI to face Wolves in the Premier League

Liverpool inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Manchester United on Sunday in the Premier League and finished atop the standings for the second week in succession.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently the only side in the Premier League to remain unbeaten and the Reds will face a tough test when they make the trip to the Molineux to lock horns with a resurgent Wolves unit on Saturday.

Wolves are currently flying high having won each of their last three games and the fans have every reason to expect a thrilling end-to-end contest at the weekend.

Team News

Joel Matip (shoulder) and Joe Gomez (ankle) are ruled out for the weekend clash while James Milner will be pushing for a return from his hamstring injury. Trent Alexander Arnold is doubtful to play a part as he continues his recovery from an ankle problem while Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is a long-term absentee for the Reds.

1. Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian made a costly error in the last game but has otherwise been a reliable presence between the sticks.

2. Nathaniel Clyne (RB)

He got a start after a long time against United in the last game and Klopp should hand him another start in the absence of Alexander Arnold.

3. Dejan Lovren (CB)

The Croatian looked solid at the back against United and didn’t allow the opposition too much space to exploit.

4. Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The towering Dutchman has been one of the key figures for Liverpool this season and he is virtually an automatic selection for Klopp.

5. Andrew Robertson (LB)

His lively presence down the left has not only added solidity to the backline but has also given Liverpool an extra attacking outlet.

6. Goerginio Wijnaldum (CDM)

He has been one of the pivots of Liverpool’s midfield this season and Klopp is likely to have him as one of the first names on his team sheet.

7. Fabinho (CDM)

The Brazilian put in a brilliant performance against the Red Devils on Sunday, impressing with his passing and distribution and cutting out the attacks,

8.Xherdan Shaqiri (RW)

He has proven himself to be one of the best bargains of the Premier League this season and he should get a start after scoring a brace in the last game.

9. Sadio Mane (LW)

The Senegalese international is one of the key components of Liverpool’s attack and he will be high on confidence after scoring in his previous outing.

The Brazilian has adapted really well to a No.10 role behind the striker and Klopp should continue to use him there.
