Bronny James surprised everyone with an insane poster dunk in France this week. One of them was his own father, LeBron James.
“OH MY GOD BRONNY!!!! The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James tweeted, followed by 10 surprised emojis. The NBA veteran’s two sons, Bronny and Bryce, play with the California Basketball Club as part of the AX Euro Tour.
CBC had a 12-point lead over the French Select U-18 team with less than two minutes remaining in the first half when Bronny hit the highlight reel dunk. Bronny’s side had possession and paced quickly before the defenders had time to react properly.
He ended the game with a one-handed dunk against a defender and immediately got the crowd on their feet. While that dunk was certainly impressive, this isn’t the first time Bronny has showcased his talent.
During a quick break earlier in the summer, one of his one-handed dunks was placed next to one of his father’s dunks to show their resemblance.
This autumn, Bronny, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard, begins his senior year of high school in Sierra Canyon, California. The four-star recruit is currently the 49th player in the Class of 2023, according to 247Sports.
Both Bronny and Bryce are trying to follow in their father’s footsteps and pursue a career in basketball. It’s a tough goal to achieve, but they certainly work hard. Earlier this month, they were at the Lakers’ practice facility in El Segundo.
Bryce James, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard/forward, is part of the class of 2025. The Euro Tour is the first time the brothers have played on the same roster, so it’s been a pretty special summer for LeBron.
