Killing Floor 2 Guide – 10 Tips and Tricks for Beginners

published

If you have just started playing Killing Floor 2 then wait for a few minutes and read our Killing Floor 2 Guide because it will help you a lot in the game.

In Killing Floor 2, a military clone-creating company called Horzine was hijacked by an insane researcher who let loose the clones across the country. The game can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. With the outbreak of clones spreading across Europe, the European Union is paralyzed. In Killing Floor 2, with the outbreak spread beyond Europe, communication systems fail and governments collapse.

Players must fight through waves of zombie-like specimens called Zeds, which will increase in number as the waves progress; as each wave is completed, new enemy types will be introduced, culminating in a boss battle as the last wave. Each wave starts with a random boss character, and each boss is defeated differently based on its character count. Destroying the boss character determines the enemy count. To know some tips and tricks about the game, read our Killing Floor 2 Guide below.

Killing Floor 2 Guide: Healing

Change between weapons often during intense encounters to effectively heal teammates. The ability to fire healing darts from each of the medic weapons is powered by a unique, rechargeable “battery.” It is not advised to sell the Medic’s starting gun. The two additional shots of healing it delivers are priceless, even if it only costs $100.

Use weapon pickups

Pump shotguns, for instance, are likely to spawn on maps, making them effectively free money. However, you should get the most out of these freebies by using their ammunition beforehand. AR-15s sell for $150 regardless of whether they are fully loaded or empty; by using a free weapon’s ammunition, you reduce the amount of money you would’ve spent on another gun.

Parry is very important

Despite Tripwire’s tweaks to KF2’s parrying mechanics, parrying remains an important technique. Parrying is one of the few abilities that stand up against heavy zeds such as the Fleshpound, although in the face of lesser zeds, it’s a useful technique for conserving ammo and managing large groups. Make sure you practice your timing blocks at a lower difficulty level if you’re a Berzerker.

Attack with Melee

Each character in Killing Floor 2 has a melee weapon, and the Berserker class even specializes in it. That weapon has to be manually selected from the weapon wheel, and then you must hold down the weapon select button to pull it out.

The first few rounds of the game can be difficult to earn dosh (money). You might spend nearly all your money on ammunition. Switching to melee for weaker enemies can help you save some of that ammo. Be careful with melee attacks against tougher enemies like bloats and sirens – you’ll want to keep a distance from them.

Pistols will help against weak enemies

You begin with two kinds of guns: a class-based weapon and a regular pistol. While your instinct might be to use the class-based weapon until it runs out of ammo, then switch to the pistol, that’s not the ideal approach. Instead, select the right weapon based on who you are fighting. Using pistol ammo on weaker Zeds is a good way to take them out. Save your stronger weapons for stronger threats such as scrakes and fleshpounds.

Reloading is very crucial

The team always runs to the shop between rounds to get more ammo and supplies, especially when they’re still learning the game. When the battle resumes, you will need to prepare yourself to use your class-based weapons. You must also buy ammo for those weapons. You should reload your guns after stocking up on bullets. This will help you at crucial moments of the game.

Focus on Sirens

Killing Floor 2 feature the Sirens, which look like skinny women with metal chest plates, black hair, and gouged-out eyes. Unlike some of the game’s enemies, such as the Fleshpound, her sonic attack can easily destroy grenades before they explode. In other words, if you chuck a grenade at The Siren while she’s screaming, it will instantly neutralize the bomb. She is a priority target during any attack since grenades are some of the most effective means of freezing, blowing up, or setting fire to mutants on the prowl. She has a decent range, so get her out before she screams.

Dead Ends

There are diverse maps in Killing Floor 2, such as a destroyed Paris, a world-renowned arctic research center, and even Hell itself. Although many of these levels are filled with twists and turns, there are bound to be some dead ends along the way. While it might seem tempting to back into a wall of bullets early on, it rarely works as the rounds progress.

Use Medic Weapon

In Killing Floor 2, there are several ways to heal, but the most popular is a needle that will help you recover some health over time. However, this health restorer has a lengthy cooldown that can complicate things if you have sustained significant damage.

The best way to reduce the loss of health is by having everyone purchase the HMTech-101 Pistol. This medical gun only takes up one slot in your inventory but is able to heal your teammates by simply shooting them with a specialized dart. Teammates are still able to heal each other even when the Medical Syringe is on cooldown by carrying around this weapon.

Share Dosh

It is important to collect as much Dosh as possible in order to afford bigger and better weapons. This in-game currency is earned by killing enemies and selling loot at a vendor that opens up after every round.

In addition to buying ammo and weapons, you should also remember to take care of your teammates. If a teammate dies, he/she will lose a large number of accumulated funds, which could be a real problem if the match goes on for too long. Alternatively, players can throw money at the ground for other players to pick up by pressing right on the D-pad. You’ll most certainly end up with enough money left over after buying all your items to share with your friends.
