Jesper Bratt Career
In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Bratt was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round with the 162nd overall pick, following his participation in 48 games and scoring 17 points with AIK in HockeyAllsvenskan. Subsequently, on 13 May 2017, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Devils. Bratt demonstrated his skills in training camp and was included in the Devils’ opening night roster for the 2017-18 season, where he managed to score a power-play goal and a shorthanded assist in his debut NHL game against the Colorado Avalanche, tallying two points.
In October 2018, Bratt fractured his jaw while practising and was absent from the game until his comeback on 9 November 2018 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Later on, the Devils re-signed him to a two-year, $5.5 million contract on 10 January 2021. As of now, everything is going well for Bratt with the Devils.
