Sasha Banks is one of the biggest stars in WWE but is she married?
Mercedes Justine Kaestner- Varnado aka, Sasha Banks, is an American Professional wrestler and WWE superstar who plays for the SmackDown brand. Having signed for WWE in 2012 for NXT and was promoted to WWE’s main roster in 2015.
Banks was born in Fairfield, California and later moved to various places, including Minnesota. She went up watching All Japan Women’s Pro- Wrestling.
On Monday Night Raw on July 13, 2015, Stephanie McMahon called for a “Revolution” on the women division.
Banks made her first appearance on the RAW brand as part of the 2016 WWE draft and made a grand debut by winning the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte.
She was also a part of the first-ever Women’s Hell in a Cell PPV for the RAW Women’s Championship, which also became the first women’s match in the history of WWE to be a pay-per-view.
She won the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bayley at the Elimination Chamber.
Banks faced Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in WrestleMania 37; this was also the first time that two African-American wrestlers met each other in WrestleMania history.
Banks pulled out from WWE SummerSlam and hadn’t been seen on WWE from there on yet due to undisclosed reasons.
Sasha Banks also acted in the second season of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, where she portrayed Koska Reeves.
Is Sasha Banks married?
Banks married retired professional wrestler Sarath Ton known by the ring name Kid Mikaze on August 4, 2016. The two met while they were both wrestlings on the independent circuit.
The Boss is one of the few lucky ones who get to see her husband daily as her husband Ton is the costume designer for WWE and has also designed costumes for Banks.
WWE star Triple H allowed Ton to design costumes on Wrestlemania, and since then, Ton has designed costumes for many WWE stars. They don’t have any kids.
But she told in the interview, that she is lucky to find a partner like him with whom she can travel the world while working together.
In the show WWE’s The Bump, Sasha Banks revealed. One interesting fact about the couple is that Banks competed with her husband Mikaze in a Fatal 4-Way Match where Banks got the better of her husband and defeated him.
