The world No. 109 Harriet Dart takes on America’s Caroline Dolehide in the qualifiers of the 2023 Indian Wells Masters of Monday.
The 26-year-old played in the inaugural United Cup, defeating Maddison Inglis and giving Jessica Pegula a good run for her money. In the Australian Open, her campaign ended with a first-round loss. She suffered the same fate at the subsequent Thailand Open where Bianca Andreescu ousted her in the first round. In the Qatar Open, she lost to Karolina Pliskova in the second qualifying round.

The American youngster did not start the season on a bright note as she lost to Varvara Gracheva in the qualifiers of the ASB Classic. In the Australian Open, she crashed out in the first round following a loss to Katie Boulter. After a first-round exit in the Copa Oster, Dolehide lost to Rebecca Peterson in the quarterfinals of an ITF event. Dolehide lost to Lesia Tsurenko in the qualifiers of the Merida Open.
After a string of poor results, Dolehide performed well in the Monterrey Open last week. She progressed from the qualifiers and defeated the likes of Jule Niemeier and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the first couple of rounds to make the quarterfinals.
