Predicted Tottenham XI to face Chelsea in the Premier League

Tottenham turn their attention back to league football when they visit Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea. Jose Mourinho’s men are in good form, having won their last four games which includes a triumph over the mighty Manchester City.

Chelsea themselves are looking no bad, having racked up six wins in their last six. It is expected to be an intriguing game, with both teams performing well this season.

Team News

Matt Doherty tested positive for COVID so he will remain in self isolation. Erik Lamela continues on his recovery and could be an absentee for this one. Harry Winks remains a doubt for this fixture after picking up an injury while on national duty.

Lastly, there is Toby Alderweireld who suffered a knock in the last league game and could face a spell on the sidelines. Other than that, Mourinho will have most of his squad to choose from.

Probable Tottenham XI vs Chelsea

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The French custodian should retain his place for this one as the first choice and this is one of the most vital games.

Sergio Reguilon (LB)

Been impressive in most of his outings and there’s no reason as to why he would not be given the nod for this one.

Japhet Tanganga (CB)

With Alderweireld out for the time being, Tanganga could be thrown into the mix for this one.

Eric Dier (CB)

The makeshift centre-back has done rather well playing in central defence but could have his hands full with Timo Werner up against him.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Needs to be at his imperious best as Chelsea will very likely target his flank.

Moussa Sissoko (DM)

Has become one of Mourinho’s most trusted players to snuff out the opposition with his incessant running and press.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (DM)

It’s not hard to see why Hojbjerg is playing almost all of Spurs’ games given how good he has been in midfield for them.

Giovani Lo Celso (CAM)

Might just be given a start for this one after his contributions in the City game.

Heung-Min Son (LW)

There should be no doubt about Son starting this one as he has been one of Spurs’ most effective attackers.

Steven Bergwijn (RW)

Was given a start against Man City and could be given one here too. Didn’t do much wrong there.

Harry Kane (ST)

The new Harry Kane that creates goals is surely refreshing to watch. Will be vital to the team getting on the scoresheet.
