Predicted Arsenal XI to face Wolves in the Premier League

Arsenal are one of the most in-form teams in the league and their next game will see them square off against Wolves. The Gunners have won three of their last five league games, being held to a goalless draw in the last game against Manchester United.

Wolves have struggled immensely this season as they have failed to win any of their last five league games, losing three of them. It’s hard not to see Mikel Arteta’s men not picking up all the points but Wolves are always a tricky proposition.

Team News

There will be one or two players who are very likely to miss the trip to Wolves. Pablo Mari will consider himself unlucky to suffer another injury after a brief spell in the team. The game could come a bit too soon for him.

Doubts remain over Dani Ceballos, Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka. Another name who will likely miss out is Pierre-Emerick Abameyang. He is likely to be under quarantine.

Probable Arsenal XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Bernd Leno (GK)

The first-choice between the sticks for the Gunners and continues in his position.

Cedric Soares (LB)

With Tierney a doubt, Cedric should continue at left-back. The Portuguese veteran has done well in the last two games and can be relied upon.

David Luiz (CB)

The veteran centre-back will be expected to marshal the defence against Wolves.

Rob Holding (CB)

Holding has been a revelation this season and should be a straightforward inclusion.

Hector Bellerin (RB)

Improved showings from him over the last few games and will be hoping to keep up that form.

Thomas Partey (DM)

Looks all set to feature on a more consistent basis after his injury layoff.

Granit Xhaka (DM)

Partnering Partey would be Xhaka, as they try to win the midfield battle.

Martin Odegaard (AM)

The new recruit may just be handed his first start as Arteta looks to keep his options fresh.

Nicolas Pepe (RW)

Pepe was a livewire in the last game and it bodes well for the side that he is in such form.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

The Frenchman has kept his scoring boots on this season and has scored at a steady pace.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW)

With Saka still a doubt, the fantastic Martinelli should start once again.
