Preparation for Minerva Crisis Core Reunion Battle

Your journey to Minerva begins with the completion of Mission 8-5-6 ‘Treasure Info 6’ which opens up the ninth category, ‘Great Cavern of Wonders’. This category is considered the hardest of the ten and requires you to have a strong grasp of the game mechanics, a high level, and the ability to break your HP and damage limits.

It’s important to note that the final missions in the ninth category, starting from 9-5-X, are especially difficult and require careful preparation. Before taking on Minerva, it’s advisable to level up, gather powerful weapons and materia, and hone your skills in battles. By doing so, you’ll increase your chances of success and ensure a smoother journey to the final showdown with Minerva.

Increase Zack’s HP and damage barriers, bringing them up to the maximum of 99,999. This can be achieved through the use of powerful accessories and Materia combinations. A commonly suggested lineup includes Genji Armor, Genji Glove, Genji Shield, and Ziedrich.

It’s also important to have a stock of Phoenix Downs and to have one in active use, as the battle will likely result in multiple wipeouts. It’s recommended to take the Mug Materia as well. When stacking Materia, it’s important to choose the right buffs and boost them to their highest potential. Additionally, it’s important to have Zack’s HP as close to the maximum of 99,999 as possible.

Lastly, Costly Punch is a useful skill to have in the battle against Minerva, as it allows you to put pressure on the enemy without draining your supply of Phoenix Downs too quickly. There are several resources available that provide tips and tricks on how to master Costly Punch and succeed in the battle against Minerva in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion.

How to beat Minerva Crisis Core Reunion

One key tactic is to “mug” Minerva, meaning to steal items from her. In this case, players will obtain a full stock of Phoenix Downs. This will be essential throughout the fight. The player will rely on these items to stay alive, making Minerva’s generosity a boon to their chances of success.

In the Minerva Crisis Core Reunion battle, it’s important to alternate between using Costly Punch and dodging or blocking her attacks. At first, her strikes may feel random, but as you progress, you’ll learn to recognize them. To keep yourself healed, Curaga is a great option. However, X-Potions and Hi-Potions will do the job as well.

One attack to look out for is Minerva’s ‘Judgment Arrow’. It not only deals significant damage but also drains your AP and MP and removes any positive buffs you may have. This means it will cancel out the effect of Phoenix Down’s Raise. To counteract this, make sure to immediately use another Phoenix Down after healing up if you get hit with this attack.
