As like all boss fights in Elden Ring, this one against the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil can be done in 2 parts. Make sure to use the best weapons and combos along with some spells to defeat Darriwil.
Phase 1
Go with a melee character and equip armor, and swords, and also drink potions to maintain your hp. You can’t use spirit ashes against the boss as it won’t be effective. Bloodhound Knight Darriwil doesn’t have poise and you can exploit its weakness. Use your spells and melee combos to deal massive damage. Inflict heavy damage constantly to reduce its HP and you can so go with ranged attacks. You can parry his blade attacks. The boss also deals blood damage. Bloodhound Knight Darriwil often unleashes a combo of slash attacks, you can roll to your right or left to avoid them. The boss also drags its claws and again you can dodge. Bloodhound Knight uses his sword to inflict heavy blade attacks and you can parry them or roll forward to avoid damage. You can continue with melee combos and lightning effects along with a spell to deal huge damage.
The boss will lunge forward and hold its claws to inflict severe hemorrhage and slash attacks, roll to your right to avert these moves. Avoid its blade attacks which will be indicated by rings. Keep attacking the boss with your weapons and reduce its HP to move to the next round.
Phase 2
Bloodhound Knight Darriwil gets rejuvenated with more health for the final round. The boss will start with a series of slash combos and blood damage. Roll forward and attack with your sword. Cast spells and use your melee attacks to deal more damage. You can dodge most attacks for this round to avoid damage. Drink more potions and you can attack from medium range to quickly reduce the boss’ health. Frustrated Bloodhound Knight Darriwil will unleash a series of blade combos and drag its claw to inflict damage, you can again dodge them simply.
Continue with the same strategy and keep dealing damage to complete the battle. Once Bloodhound Knight Darriwil runs out of HP and energy, you will be able to defeat the boss. A cutscene will pop up to confirm your victory against the Darriwil boss. Then you can collect the runes and other drops from the boss after defeating.
