Forspoken is an action RPG from Luminous Productions and Square Enix team. The entire plot of Forspoken takes place in Athia, a magical land full of Tantas (the demons) who are killing innocent residents. Frey, the protagonist from New York has to arrive at the magical land of Athia to take on the Tantas world bosses to wipe away the dark demons from Athia. Athia has to use her magical powers, cloaks, and bracelet cuffs to defeat every world boss and other enemies. Right now the players of Forspoken have a challenging task in the game. Altered Borophagus, the optional mini-boss is another threat to Frey and the villagers of Athia. You need to defeat Altered Borophagus in one of the game’s latest quests
Frey will also receive a couple of rewards after defeating the world boss Borophagus. You also need to complete the main story missions in Forspoken to gain access to boss fights. And Frey will receive more cloaks, spells, and magical powers only after completing the main story quests. Altered Borophagus is a mighty and scintillating opponent, Frey Holland needs to be at her best to encourage Borophagus in this boss fight. Altered Borophagus is an aggressive mutant, just like other boss fights, Frey needs to use all her magical powers to sustain against Borophagus’ moves and attacks. The battle against Borophagus takes place in the Sacred Peaks (Cipal), North of the Blessed Plains in Junoon. Before initiating the battle against Borophagus make sure that you have unlocked the zip. You can also get to Humble Plain, Tanta’s Demesne, or Shepherd’s Visoria to battle against the boss.
Phase 1
Altered Borophagus comes along with its 3 minions. You need to kill these 3 minions before defeating the boss. All the 3 minions Gruagach, Hylonomus, and Harpagos have different Magical skills and attacks. You can use necklace and red or purple magic to clear out these 3 minions. The Borophagus often lets out a huge roar to threaten Frey. And whenever the boss roars, you need to safeguard Frey from attacks as they can negate her moves and reduce her HP bar. Frey also needs full max HP for the battle. After clearing the 3 minions it gets tougher against Altered Borophagus.
Do remember that Borophagus is highly susceptible to Frey’s purple magic. You can keep attacking the boss with this magic spell. You can also use better cloaks and necklaces in between to deal high damage. Have a pack full of shield draught to avoid damage. Borophagus also unleashes melee attacks often, you can block them. The melee attacks will be faster and you need to quickly evade from the spot.
Borophagus uses spinning spines and roar attacks, then his other companions are the canis dirus, which you can tackle against them with an implant. Then immediately deploy burst shot and surge attacks to reduce its hp and energy. Disperse spell is also highly effective during the battle and cast it whenever required. Shield and Burst Shot along with projectile attack spells can be used to reduce his health quickly. Burst shot along with Tendril magic spells will be another best combo. Reduce Borophagus HP to 50% and the next phase will kickstart.
Phase 2
Phase 2 against Borophagus will be almost similar to phase one. The mutant will come ho with the same strategy. Borophagus roars and lunges forward to attack, you need to save Frey Holland against these dangerous moves. Deploy burst shot and purple magic in this phase. Use other spells and necklace to deplete his attacks and HP. Avoid Borophagus’ spinning spines and bite attacks. Deploy more magic and support spells to complete the battle faster. Whenever Borophagus’ HP drains, cast a spell to quickly drain the boss’ health.
Continue with the same strategy and keep attacking the Altered Borophagus until its hp is completely down. Borophagus falls and you will win the battle after some seconds. Once the battle ends against Altered Borophagus, collect Lucid Garlands as your reward.
