A special Livestream has been organized by HoYoverse to give us a preview of the content that will be added to Genshin Impact 2.8 on July 13. As well as new characters, Archon quests, Story quests, weapons, events, and more, there are so many new content updates that you should know about. Just in case you missed the Genshin Impact 2.8 Livestream, our article will give you all the details about it so that you can be aware of everything. 

Genshin Impact 2.8 Livestream: Kazuha Story Quest

Several new story quests will be added to Genshin Impact Version 2.8, focusing primarily on Kazuha’s history as a blacksmith. The past limited event in Version 2.6 explored this in-depth, so we’ll have more insight in Version 2.8.

Shikanoin Heizou

Heizou is a young prodigy detective from the Tenryou Commission who works under Sara, who holds him in high regard. Heizou is a 4-Star Anemo and Catalyst character, as expected. The voices of Heizou have been revealed for the first time, Yuichi Iguchi is the Japanese version’s voice actor and Kieran Regan is the English version.

Heizou has a unique way of handling matters, and he prefers to investigate the scene rather than deal with paperwork. Kazuha and Heizou are friends, whose relationship is defined by a natural understanding. Heizou prefers to use his mind over his fists, and only uses them when necessary.

Banner Schedule

A full rerun patch will be released with Genshin Impact Version 2.8. In the first half of the patch, you will see rerun Kazuha banners and Klee banners, and in the second half, there will be a Yoimiya banner rerun which will be on August 2, 2022.

In addition, Kazuha and Yoimiya’s signature weapons, Freedom-Sworn (5-Star Sword) and Thundering Pulse (5-Star Bow) will also be reruns. Heizou will appear on Kazuha’s banner as a 4-Star character. Heizou will appear permanently on the Standard Banner after Kazuha’s banner ends.

Events

Summer Time Odyssey

The Summer Time Odyssey is the main event. During Summer Time Odyssey, players will receive a Fischl for free when clearing the event on the same separate Islands map as Version 1.7. Additionally, there will be sub-quests and sub-events, including a Waverider co-op mode.

Evermotion Mechanical Painting

The players will have to solve puzzles by placing gears at the correct locations on a board in order to solve a new event with Felix Vogue, an NPC from the Court of Fontaine.

Fischl And Diluc Skins

In Version 2.8’s content clearing process, Fischl gets the Alternate Costume Ein Immernachtstraum (Evernight Dream). Diluc gets the Alternate Costume Red Dead of Night. Both Fishl’s and Diluc’s Skins are free to earn, but none of them are free until you clear the content.

A story event called Hidden Strife will also make Diluc and his new Skin playable. Most importantly, it explains why he does not wear a Vision when wearing that new costume. The only difference between Diluc’s skin and other costumes is that it replaces Diluc’s idle animations with new ones. Jean had already gotten a bonus skin, so Diluc’s Skin is the first-ever 5-Star skin in the game.
