Three stars Everton can target instead of Porto star Yacine Brahimi

Everton are looking to bring in a brand new winger, and it seems that FC Porto star Yacine Brahimi is their top target with the news outlet O Jogo reporting that the Toffees are back in the race. The 28-year-old Porto star has been in great form this season and has found the net six times in 16 appearances and his versatility to play in multiple roles makes him very useful.

However, there are other stars that Marco Silva could target with the Mirror reporting that the 28-year-old could be available for cheap and thus Everton could have competition for Brahimi’s signature.  That being said, here are three options Marco Silva’s side could target instead of the FC Porto star.

#3 Emil Forsberg

A versatile attacking star, Forsberg’s performances a few seasons ago when he played an integral part in helping RB Leipzig finish third in the Bundesliga, shocking more the Bundesliga and critics in the 2016/17 season. The 27-year-old finished the season with 8 goals and an incredible 22 assists but has since struggled to repeat his performances.

Now with an injury preventing from making too much of an impact this season, Forsberg could be an incredible asset to Everton. While he doesn’t have the pace and trickiness that Yacine Brahimi possesses, the 27-year-old’s ability to create things out of nothing makes him a brilliant option.

#2 Bruma

The 24-year-old has the ability to change games if he wants. However, the biggest problem for Everton will be to get the best out of the Bissau national and while he did arrive in July 2017, Burma has only managed to score 10 goals and a further 5 assists in 61 appearances..

This season alone has seen the 24-year old make 22 appearances, with 9 of them coming off the bench and this allows Everton a chance to sign him. If they are unsure about his ability, then a loan move might help with an option to make it permanent, if Marco Silva and company manages to convince RB Leipzig to let him go.

#1 Ryan Fraser

A Premier League proved star, Ryan Fraser would make a brilliant signing for the Evertonians. However, that’s only if Everton does manage to convince Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe to sell their best player. So far, the Scotsman has managed 6 goals and produced a further 10 assists in just under 21 appearances.

The 24-year-old leads the Premier League in assists, and that makes him a valuable asset to any Premier League side. For Everton, a side that has struggled with creativity this season, adding another Premier League proven star makes more sense than opting to sign contract rebel who could do the same to them.
