Flora Duffy Career

Flora Duffy’s first big win came at the Central American and Carribean Games in 2010, where she won the Silver medal.

She won her first medal at the XTERRA Triathlon World Championships in 2013, after turning pro the same year, winning the Bronze in the Elite Category. Since then, she has won 5 gold medals in the same competition in the subsequent years.

At the Rio 2016 Olympics, which she qualified with much ease, just like she had for the previous 2 Olympics, she had no luck, returning home empty.

Duffy also has two gold medals at the ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships (2015 and 2016), and two more at the ITU Triathlon World Championships (2016 and 2017).

Duffy is coached by Nate Wilson and Ernie Gruhn, and her husband Dan Hugo who is a triathlete himself.
