The Far Cry franchise is releasing the 6th game in its series. Here is everything that you need to know about the game. 

Far Cry 6 is an action adventure first person shooter game. The game is set on Yara a fictional nation in the Caribbean islands. The nation of Yara is ruled by a dictator called ‘El Presidente’ Anton Castillo. The Dictator is raising his son Diego to follow his rule. The player will take the role of Dani Rojas and attempt to overthrow Castillo and his regime. The game is developed by the gaming giant Ubisoft. 

Far Cry 6 Gameplay

The gameplay of the new Far cry game is similar to the previous games. The main focus of the game is to overthrow the dictatorship of the El Presidente and make Yara a democratic country. The player will take the role of a local Yaran name Dani Rojas. Dani Rojas is a former soldier of the Yaran armed forces. He has joined the guerilla forces to free and restore his nation. The player can choose the gender of the playing character at the start of the game as Dani is a gender-neutral name. 

Far Cry 6 Platforms

Far Cry 6 is a multi platform game and will be released simultaneously on all of them. It is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PC and cloud gaming platforms. Far Cry 6 will be available on Amazon Luna and Google Stadia through their cloud gaming system.

Far Cry 6 Release Date

The game was originally scheduled to be released in February 2021. But the release date of Far Cry 6 was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Far Cry 6 will be officially released worldwide on 7 October 2021. You can pre-order the game right now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Far Cry 6 Bonus Content

Ubisoft has announced that as a part of the game’s Season pass, additional content will be released for the game. The players can take the role of the past antagonists of the Far Cry franchise. The playable characters will include Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3, Pagan Min from Far Cry 4 and Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5. The season pass will include an updated version of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Ubisoft has also teased additional content featuring Danny Trejo in a Rambo style mission. There is also a crossover mission with Stranger Things.
